About Seven Petals Clinic

Seven Petals Clinic is a dermatology clinic, located in a prime position of Kalkata, well connected by bus, privately operated taxis, metro and other public conveyance. Parking is generally available on the nearby roads. Important nearby land marks are City Centre 1 (shopping complex). Ultadanga rail station is about 2 km and airport is about 13 km (15 to 20 mins). The clinic is in the ground floor.

Here at Seven Petals Clinic, we provide dermatology consultations for all ages of patients. In addition, many advanced dematological treatment options are available. However, some procedures that are primarily done in beauty parlours are not done here.

We provide dermatological diagnostic tests like patch tests, dermoscopy, skin smear, and biopsy. Minor dermatosurgical procedures are performed here.
We provide online/ teleconsultation for the patients who are unable to attend the clinic.
Professor Dr Nilendu Sarma is the chief consultant of Seven Petals Clinic.

He is a senior dermatologist and practicing for more than two decades. At present, he is the Head of the Dermatology Department at Malda Medical College, West Bengal.
He is an International Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology (IFAAD)
He is a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians (Edinburg).
He is Associate Editor, Dermatologic Therapy (USA).
In past, he served as Deputy Editor of Indian Journal of Dermatology (India).
He has written and edited dermatology books like ‘SKIN-Clinical Dermatology’ (published by Jaypee Medical Publisher, India) and
He is the chief author of Dermatology Jewels– An approach to Diagnosis (published by MacMilan Medical Communications, USA).
He has published many articles in Pubmed Indexed journals and written numerous chapters in different dermatology books.
He is a post graduate medical teacher in West Bengal University of Health Science.
He has constantly updated himself and passed various national and international examinations. He has passed ‘Basic Course in Biomedical Research’ (conducted by NPTEL) in 2020 and Specialty Certificate Examination (conducted by Federation of Royal College of Physicians, UK and British Association of Dermatologists) in 2021.

Among his notable academic achievements, he received prestigious ‘Oration’ by National
association, IADVL in 2017.

He also received the following awards
1. ‘IJD- RANBAXY Award’ 2012 for best original work published in Indian Journal of
Dermatology,
2. Indubala Devi Memorial award in 2010- by IADVL for the best original research work
published in Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology (IJDVL) on ‘Contact
Dermatitis’,
3. CODFI-IAISD award 2009: by CODFI (contact and occupational dermatoses forum of India)
for best original research work published on contact dermatitis in Indian Journal of
Dermatology (IJD),
4. K Siddappa Memorial Award in 2003 – by IADVL for original research work,
5. Salil Kumar Panja award for Excellence in Dermatology’ by IADVL, WB state branch

He is associated with various research activities. He conducted a ‘Pan India vitiligo survey’.
He has always been actively associated various scientific activities. Earlier, he was a member of Special Interest Group (IADVL SIG) on Pediatric Dermatology, Psoriasis, Leg ulcer and Genodermatoses and also a member of Academic Committee of IADVL.

He is active in organisational activities also.
1. He was the National Convenor of ‘Vitiligo India Mission’ under (IADVL),
2. National Coordinator of Special Interest Group on Pigmentary disorders (IADVL-SIG),
3. Organising Secretary of ACSICON 2015 (Annual Conference of Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India) 2015, Kolkata.
